No, we don\'t have update on this yet.

What is your concern on using a second thread? It will not introduce any problem like performance or security etc.

Did you ever figure out how to change the code so that this wasn't necessary? I'm having the problem with our custom version of PDFSecurity, and I'd rather not code another thread if I don't have to.

Hi,
1. Currently multiple page is not supported by html snapshot. You can split your html into small ones, convert them to tiff and merge tiff files. Or, I suggest you may look at another printer based solution. It has developer license as well. <a href="http://www.ultrashareware.com/Ultra-Image-Printer.htm">http://www.ultrashareware.com/Ultra-Image-Printer.htm</a>

2. Yes, the developer license can be redistriburted

Single developer licnese: the license is applicable when only 1 developer will use the component or the component can be deployed on one server.
Development team license: the license is applicable when a development team will use the component or the component can be deployed on five servers.
Enteprise license: the license is applicable for using the component by an enterprise on unlimited servers or applications.

3. You can modify your html to put the css you want to use at the first place.

Unable to get to you from your email addresses so I'm writing to your blog...

So far I really like the HTML->TIFF functionality. Questions:
1> How do I create multi-page TIFs? Currently I just get one big TIF. I'm looking for something to solve a problem for our app so we'll need to get a developer / distribution licence.

2. How do I tell HTMLSnap which CSS to use? Currently it seems to just pick the first one in the HTML... which is OK, but I'd like the flexibility to tell it which one to use.

Thanks!
Scott from Encomia

[...] Note that I call SetLogOnUser method with an account named “user”. This could be an account that is created specially for converting html to image. You can give him enough privilege to write files or loading ActiveX like flash movie. It can be an Administrator account (needed for capturing flash). Security concern? It is no problem since Html snapshot will only impersonate that user when doing html to image. It will revert to normal web user after SnapUrl call. So it is secure. [...]

I had a bit of problem converting the m4p file to mp3. The software wanted to use a microphone as a source, and would not just use the soundcard, so I ended up having to place a patch cable between the sound card (output) and the auxiliary (input) and play the file through I-tunes while recording it on Audio Record Expert. If I had not had that patch cable, I don't know how I would have converted the song.... Also, It would be really convenient if there were a three or four second delay option in recording, as that is how long it takes to switch to the other program and actually start playing the song after the recorder starts. Either this or have it so the recorder does not activate until there is actually a signal. It was a bit of a problem to get the volume leveled out equivalent to the original file was pretty much trial and error. All in all, it took me 43 attempts to convert the file before I had it right, between figuring out just what combination between the ports on the soundcard (microphone, speaker, and auxiliary), timing the recording start and playing the file through I-tunes, and adjusting the volume.

Hope this helps.
